Lemon and oregano are two classic ingredients for flavoring chicken and other poultry in Greece. For best results, use Greek oregano and fresh lemon juice!
Lemonati kai Reganati Kota Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 recipe ladolemono
- 2 teaspoons dried Greek oregano
- 4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
Prepare the ladolemono according to the instructions in the recipe. Stir in oregano and set aside.
Rinse the chicken breasts with cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Place chicken in a large plastic bag. Pour in the ladolemono with oregano and seal the bag tightly. Place the bag in the refrigerator for at least one hour, but overnight is best.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit when you are ready to cook the chicken. Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with cooking spray.
Arrange the chicken breasts in a single layer on the baking dish and pour the marinade from the bag over the top. Bake the chicken for 20-25 minutes until cooked all the way through.
