Green beans are grown throughout Greece. This recipe is a popular choice, especially when the beans are in season.

Greek Style Green Beans With Oil and Lemon (Fasolia Ladolemono) Recipe Ingredients:

  • 1 recipe ladolemono
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, ends trimmed
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chives, or dill

How to Prepare Greek Green Beans With Lemon and Oil:

Prepare the ladolemono according to the recipe instructions. Set aside.

Fill a large saucepan with water and add a few pinches of salt. Bring the water to a boil. Once it boils, add the beans and cook until soft. This should take about 3-5 minutes and the beans will turn bright green.

Once cooked, drain the beans in a colander and then transfer them to a serving bowl. Toss with the prepared ladolemono and garnish with the fresh herbs.
