Resort Town Parga Famous For Beautiful Scenery

Written by in , Comments Off on Resort Town Parga Famous For Beautiful Scenery

Parga is a town located in the northwestern part of the Epirus Region in Greece, and it is also one of the most popular travel destinations in the entire country.

The town of Parga is largely known for being a resort town, famous for its beautiful scenery. The beaches in Parga are about as close as you can get to the stereotypical idea of what paradise is Pargasupposed to look like. In no particular order, the most popular beaches in Parga are Piso Kryoneri, Ai Giannakis, Lichnos, Valtos, Kryoneri, and Sarakiniko.

If you’re looking to take a boat trip, go with Marco Polo. This all-day cruise brings you out to Antipaxos before exploring the blue caves in Paxos, which is an island off the coast of Parga. With this all-day cruise, you’ll be able to jump off the boat, and go swimming during the trip, and they’ll even take you shopping in Gaios, which is a small town on the island of Paxos. The trip includes a nice little lunch before you head back to Parga. The crew is outstanding, providing an incredibly fun environment with their upbeat moods and excellent music selection. And if you’re lucky, you’ll even see some dolphins swimming alongside of the boat and jumping out of the water! The Marco Polo crew knows that this is a huge crowd-pleaser, and they do their best to make sure that their passengers get to see this, although it’s not something they can guarantee.

One of the most popular attractions in Parga is the Paragaea Parga Old Olive-Oil Factory. Here, you will take a guided tour that is highly informative, explaining the history of olives, the history of how olive oil is made, and the tour will also educate you on the history of Parga. At the conclusion of the tour, visitors will get the opportunity to sample some bread and olive oil that was made locally. If you like it, you have the option to purchase some at the gift shop.

But back to that beautiful scenery we were talking about before. One of the best examples of Parga’s beautiful scenery is the Acheron River. My explanation won’t do it justice, as it’s one of those things that you just have to see for yourself, but I’ll do my best. Here, you can go river rafting, canoeing, sailing and more! Just about the only thing I wouldn’t advise you to do in this river is to go swimming. First and foremost, there are snakes in the water, and that’s everybody’s nightmare, but also because the water is really, really cold. There are also other activities to do while you’re at the river, like zip lining across the river and horseback riding. It’s also worth noting that the wildlife that you’ll see here is incredible!

While all of this may sound amazing, you could argue that I haven’t even shared the best location for seeing the most incredible views of Parga yet. If you’re up for the task, as it takes some mild hiking up stone paths and some stairs, you will find the best views of Parga at the castle of Erimokastro – Venizianische Burg. You’ll thank me later for telling you to wear the appropriate footwear for the trek.
