About Santa Barbara Beach

This is one of Corfu’s most popular beaches and when you see it, you’ll know why. It’s surrounded by rocks and crystal clear blue waters. The beach is a golden color with no stones. It’s a great beach to take a leisurely walk or sit on the rocks and enjoy the view. There are usually plenty of umbrellas and sun beds for tourists. The water is deep, very clean, and safe for families. It can be wavy, much to the delight of boogie-boarders. This is a good beach for anyone looking to enjoy the day on a traditional Corfu Beach but it is especially popular for families and those looking for a quiet, scenic, and relaxed place to lounge.

What to Do at Santa Barbara Beach

Near the beach are taverns, beach bars, and a mini-market. Other nearby beaches are Marathias, Gardenos, and Agios Georgios to visit. If lying underneath an umbrella isn’t exciting enough, about seven miles away you can take a speedboat cruise. The Powerboats cruise at high speeds where you will see some amazing scenery of Blue Lagoons, Paxos, and Greece’s mainland. They stop along the way so you can enjoy swimming in the beautiful turquoise waters.

For some food and spirits, head over to the Fountain Bar in nearby Kavos. The friendly staff will entice you with one of their cocktails. The fountain is also lovely and is a great place to take photographs. Also in Kavos is Maria’s Famous Karaoke Fun Pub. Sit back and enjoy some karaoke and have a few drinks to unwind.

The island of Corfu is one of the islands you must visit when touring Greece. Be sure to see one of the island’s most beautiful beaches, Santa Barbara. The sunsets are amazing! The local people will make you feel welcome as they are very friendly and gracious people!
