Fall Dance for GOYA of St. Spiridon Greek Orthodox Church Worcester MA
November 1, 2014 @ 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm
On behalf of the Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church’s GOYA or youth group. My name is Marina. I have recently called Massachusetts’ Orthodox churches. I am this year’s president. On November 1st, next Saturday, we are holding a youth fall dance (ages 13-18). We have invited around 35 churches and we are hoping that you will be one of them to take part. The dance is casual dress, takes place 7pm-11pm, food and drinks will be provided. There is a DJ, who is actually one of our older GOYA members and treasurer. There is a ten dollar entry fee. At the door the attendees will be asked to provide the permission slip and fee. There will be advisers and parents there to supervise, and any other parish that would like to send a chaperone or guardian is more than welcome to. One goal that we hope to accomplish is to connect with other Orthodox kids. We are hoping that if there is a good turn out we can plan other large events such as retreats and dances, for the future. If you are interested or think you may have some of your youth attend please just send an email in the next week with about how many might attend so we can prepare for enough food. We are looking forward to meeting everyone. I have attached a flyer and permission slip into this message as well. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
