His innovative technique on the instrument changed the role of the laouto forever developing it as a solo instrument while in most regions of Greece it had an accompanying role. His significant work was recently recognized by the Museum of Fine Arts which acquired his laouto and made it part of the Musical Instruments Collection of the Museum.
