DESCRIPTION:Please RSVP by January 29th at the EventBrite link :\nhttps://www.eventbrite.com/e/greece-animated-registration-53161127363\nFree and open to the public.\nSeating begins at 5:30pm.\n—-\nA Presentation and Short Film Showing of Greek Animation from the 1930s to Today\nDr. Anastasia Dimitra is the course leader of the Animation and\nInteractive Media course at AKTO (validated college Middlesex\nUniversity\, London) and an External – Associate Professor in the\nDepartment of Cultural Technology and Communication at the\nUniversity of the Aegean. She is a member of the WBL Middlesex University\, London. She has collaborated to produce animation films with the biggest companies in Greece\, including Mosquito and Artoon S.A. In 1995\, she established her own production company and created several productions\, such as Cartoons 36/Episodes of 26 on Greek television.\nIn 2011\, she created the films Diadromes and Emmones. She has written books and papers about animation art\, and has been a jury member on several animation festivals\, including the 2002 Selection Committee for the Hiroshima Animation Festival.\nModerated by VMA Assistant Professor Dr. Sarah Zaidan.\nHosted by WLP\, ASIFA HELLAS\, and the Circle of Hellenic Academics in Boston.
