Sole is a popular fish throughout Greece and it can also be fund readily throughout the world. If you can’t find it, you can use other, thin whitefish filets, such as tilapia, in place of the sole.
Greek Style Baked Sole in Grape Leaves Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 recipe ladolemono
- 1 jar grape leaves, rinsed
- 8 sole filets (about 4-5 ounces each)
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions on How to Prepare Greek Style Baked Sole in Grape Leaves:
Preheat the oven to 350 Degrees Fahrenheit.
Prepare the ladolmeono according to the recipe instructions.
Line a 9 x 13 baking dish with grape leaves. Set aside.
Rinse the sole filets and blot dry with paper towels.
Brush them on both sides with the ladolemono and place each filet on top of the grape leaves in a single layer.
Place another layer of grape leaves over the top of the sole filets. Drizzle with some of the ladolemono (to taste).
Place the dish in the center of the oven and bake until the sole is cooked all the way through. This should take about 30 minutes.
Serve with lemon wedges.
