You can sample wines at the museum and buy wines of the Union of Winemaking Cooperatives of Samos.
Potokaki Beach
Located 14 km southwest of Vathy and 3 km from Pythagorion is Potokaki Beach. Potokaki is a family friendly beach that is organized with umbrellas and sun beds. During the summer this long, pebbled beach is popular and busy. Potokaki has been awarded the Blue Flag for cleanliness. Potokaki Beach has water sports facilities and beach bars. If you’re staying in the Pythagorion areas, this is the perfect beach for lounging in the sun and swimming. If you’re adventurous, you will enjoy the water sports offered. You can get to Potokaki Beach by car or public busses that come from the city center.
Roman Baths
The Roman Baths, also known as the Baths of Therma, was constructed in the 2nd century AD. The Roman Baths are located just outside of Pythagorion on the southern side of the island. The remains of the complex of public buildings and baths are impressive. The baths were part of the athletic complex of the ancient city of Samos. It included a gymnasium and the stadium as well as the wrestling school. The vaulted room that served as a sauna was turned into a Christian baptistery during the 5th century.
