The Pelion Peninsula is one of those hidden gems that is absolutely worth visiting. While it isn’t always at the top of the list of where to travel, it shouldn’t be ignored. Not only is this peninsula stunningly gorgeous, but there are also plenty of things to do, especially for nature lovers. Located by a dramatic mountain range and also by the sea, there are also plenty of green hills to satisfy those who love being surrounded by lush vegetation. Here’s a look at what you can do once you’re here:

Visit the Beach

If you’re looking for a place that is off the beaten track but that also has plenty of beaches, you won’t want to miss the chance to visit the Pelion Peninsula! Each of the major beaches here is unique, and contains a mix of beautiful scenery, warm waters, and plenty of sunshine. Those who love the water can stick to activities such as kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, snorkeling, swimming, and scuba diving. Hikers will love being close to the mountains. Mount Pliassidi, for instance, has some hiking trails and you can even traverse to the top of the mountain! If you love walking but don’t want to do anything strenuous, consider spending some time in nature, wandering through the village streets.

Visit the Damouhari Port

If you’re looking for a lively place to spend some time, consider visiting the Damouhari Port. In fact, if you love sea kayaking, you definitely won’t want to miss this!
