About Lee Beach in Pefkos
Lee Beach is located at the popular resort of Pefkos on the eastern coast of Rhodes. During the 1970s, tourism began developing on the island of Rhodes. Visitors started exploring the areas that were less-known. During the 1980s, visitors to Rhodes became more interested in spending their time the way the locals did, which consists of soaking up the sun and enjoying a more Mediterranean lifestyle.
Little by little, Pefkos developed into one of the most popular resorts on the island of Rhodes. Pefkos is a relaxed resort that is perfect for families, couples, singles, and people of all ages. The resort of Pefkos has restaurants, bars, supermarkets, shops, hotels, and beaches.
The beach is mid-sized with lovely clear water and sand that is soft with some pebbles mixed in. Behind the beach are pine trees. Sun beds are available at Lee Beach. The view from the beach of the bay is worth sitting and enjoying. If you’re around during the evening, sunset viewing from the beach is wonderful. Parking is available at the beach if you drive.
Lee Beach is considered the main beach of the Pefkos resort. The beach has Blue Flag status that is given for the cleanliness of the beach and the water as well as its safety.

Lee Beach is home to a watersports center. The far end of Lee Beach is ideal for snorkeling as there are coves where the locals fish and the area is rich in tiny fish. Fish can be seen along the entire length of the beach though as well as between St. Thomas Beach and Plakia Beach. The little coves along the coast will make great areas of exploration. At Lee Beach you can also rent jet skis, pedal boats, and boats.
There are plenty of restaurants and bars located here at the beach. One of these spots is called the Lee Beach Cafe Bar. It is located in a great area as you can not only go swimming and cool off nearby, but also play beach volleyball. From breakfast on, you can expect a good meal. Lee Beach Cafe Bar also makes cocktails.
This beach is ideal for families as it has Blue Flag status. The sand of the beach gently slopes into the water, so there are no sudden drops into deeper water.
To get here from Rhodes Airport, it takes about one hour by car or taxi and three and a half hours by bus. Taking the bus or renting a car will cost you about the same, but taking a taxi is understandably more expensive. Lee Beach is easily accessible to by foot or by car. If you drive, there is a parking lot above the beach.
