Athens is known as a fascinating city that has a foothold in both the past and the present. While here, visitors can enjoy a variety of activities, such as touring the iconic Parthenon or hitting one of the city’s many clubs and enjoying the nightlife. Still, the city does have its limits since it is fairly landlocked. The good news is that there are plenty of nearby beaches for people to visit. Porto Rafti Beach is one of those places. Getting to Porto Rafti Beach

Before you can actually get to the beach, you need to first make your way to the city of Athens. Most people tend to arrive here by airplane since the Athens has an international airport. However, if you originate from elsewhere in Greece or one of the surrounding countries you can drive, take public transportation, or even take a ferry. Once you get to Athens, you can make your way to Porto Rafti Beach, which is about 35 kilometers, or 21 miles, east of the city. The easiest way is to rent a car and drive yourself, or you could always hire a taxi. Without traffic, it should take about 45 minutes to get there depending on where you are in the city.

This beach is known for being located in one of the prettiest coastal areas in Attica, which is the region where the city of Athens is located. Porto Rafti Beach is no exception to this and is also known for its beauty. As a result of this, the beach tends to get busy, especially in the summer. Locals and tourists alike flock here to enjoy the sunshine and everything the beach has to offer. It is also a convenient choice from the center of Athens, which makes it a good choice for those who are looking for a way to briefly escape city life.

Spend the Day at Porto Rafti Beach

This beach is so convenient that it is possible to either spend the whole day here or just a few hours. Head to the beach for a few hours in the sun, and then make your way back to the hotel in order to enjoy a nice dinner in the city or to enjoy the nightlife. The beach is made up of a long strip of sand, and it is possible to rent a sun bed and umbrella once you get here. There are also plenty of nearby facilities to use, such as food and bathrooms. This is also a good family beach because there are so many nearby options.
