The Church of Panagia is accessible via hiking paths. The church is small and white, taking after the Cycladic architecture.

Visit the Village of Limenaria

Limenaria is a must-see when on the island of Agistri. The road leading to Limenaria will offer you views of the beautiful blue sea and islands that lie close to Agistri. You can even see the mainland in the distance. The charming village of Limenaria is residential, so you won’t find hotels, shops, or bars. In fact, there is only one tavern, but it’s more than enough to keep you satisfied during your visit. They have a reputation for serving delicious meals. A trip to Limenaria is purely for the view, the sites such as the Church of Agia Kyriaki, and a taste of old Greek living. The streets of Limenaria are small and winding. The Church of the Holy Apostles is located in Megalochori, capital of the island of Agistri. This is the ideal attraction if you are interested in historic architecture. There are supposed to be many stories associated with the Church of the Holy Apostle, also known as the Church of Zoodochos Pigi. The cathedral features beautiful wall paintings that one must see. While in Megalochori, you will see many historical monuments including old stone houses. Stroll around the capital for a true taste of history.
