Kopanisti me Feta is a popular spread that is prepared on the island of Ikaria and also throughout Greece. It’s usually served with meals or as part of a simple meze spread. Sometimes this dish is served warm and spread over Greek village bread, especially on the island of Antiparos.

Greek Style Whipped Feta Spread (Kopanisti me Feta) Recipe Ingredients:

  • 3 cups crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 teaspoons dried Greek oregano
  • 2/3 cup Greek olive oil

How to Make Greek Whipped Feta Spread:

Place the feta cheese and Greek oregano to a food processor. Cover and pulse into the two are well incorporated.

With the motor running on low speed, drizzle in the olive oil. After the olive oil is completed added, cover the the food processor tight and pulse the mixture until smooth and creamy.

If not using right away, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days before serving.
