Anthony Quinn Bay is located on the island of Rhodes, 4 km south of Faliraki. It has been known by this name since actor Anthony Quinn bought that area of Rhodes when he was filming the movies “The Guns of Navarone.” It’s not surprising why he fell in love with the area with its natural stone surfaces that make ideal places to sit and lounge under the sun. There are pine trees that extend all the way to the water’s edge. The water at Anthony Quinn Bay is a beautiful emerald-green color thanks to the greenery around the beach.

While the beach is extremely beautiful, one of the nicest on the island of Rhodes, it is not ideal for families with young children due to the sharp rocks both on the shore and in the water. It is the perfect place for adults, groups of friends, and anyone wanting to relax on their own.

During the summer months, the small beach of Anthony Quinn Bay can become crowded. At the top of the bay’s rocks, there is a canteen where you can get refreshments.

If you enjoy water sports, snorkeling and canoeing are both available at Anthony Quinn Bay. The clear water and interesting underwater scenery, make it perfect for snorkeling.

The village and seaside resort of Faliraki is located just 4 km from Anthony Quinn Bay making it the perfect place to explore when visiting the beach. Faliraki is home to a water park with water slides and a wave pool. You will also find lively nightlife if that’s something you’re interested in.

Getting to Anthony Quinn Bay

Getting to the Greek island of Rhodes can be done by ferry, but the trip is long, 16 – 18 hours from Athens, so you might prefer flying to Rhodes. Flights into Rhodes International Airport “Diagoras” come from Athens, Thessaloniki, and countries around Europe to name a few. Flight time from Athens to the island of Rhodes is just 50 minutes, making it your quickest options.

From Rhodes Town to Anthony Quinn Bay take about 30 minutes by bus and 17 minutes by car or taxi.
