How Can I Access the Acheron River?

There are many ways of getting to Acheron River depending on your most convenient means of transport and distance. Ioannina is the nearest city to the river, while Parga is the closest town. However, if residing in Sivota or Preveza, you’re also not very far from your destination.

Acheron River is close to Aktion Airport, which is near Preveza town. Alternatively, you can use the Ioannina Airport in the city. You can book a flight from these two airports several days a week.

You can hire a taxi from Sivota, Ioannina, Preveza, or Parga for easy access. If your hotel is distant from the river, you can catch a cab to any of these four towns. Alternatively, your hotel can arrange a ride from any corner of Epirus.
