The peninsula of Kassandra, Greece is in the Halkidiki region. It is separated from the mainland by the Nea Potidea Canal. Kassandra is known for its breathtaking beaches. If you’re visiting the area, you will want to explore and relax on some of these unique beaches.

Sani Beach

Sani Beach is considered one of the most beautiful beaches Kassandra has to offer. Much of the beach belongs to the Sani Resort, but there is a section of the beach that is available for people who are not guests of the resort. The beach features white sand and gorgeous turquoise waters.

There is an area that is a protected space for rare birds that have made their home there. Sani beach is popular with both locals and tourists. The resort is worth a visit as there is a lovely park, church, and marina. If you’re staying at the Sani Resort, you will have access to more of the beach. Watching the sunset from Sani Beach is something you won’t want to miss.

Kallithea Beach

Another beautiful beach to visit when in Kassandra is Kallithea Beach. The beach is long with soft, fine sand and turquoise waters. One side of the beach contains more rocks in the water, a more narrow shore and is less crowded. There is a lot of greenery behind the beach adding to its beauty and ambiance. Kallithea Beach is located 50 km south of Poligiros. It is a well-organized beach with sun beds and umbrellas available. There is also water sports equipment available on site. Kallithea Beach is within walking distance of the village of Kallithea.

Chrousso Bay

Chrousso Bay is a large beach that is also known by the name Paliouri thanks to its location. In fact, the beach goes by many names including: Xenia, Blue Fish, Cabana, and Lefki Ammos Beach. The sand is fine and the water is very clear. The shoal extends into the water almost 30 meters. The beach is family friendly and located close to a small marina. There are a number of beach bars at Chroussa Bay, so you won’t have to look far for refreshments. You can also find water sports centers, a luxury hotel, and camping site at Chrousso Bay.

Golden Beach

Golden Beach is another large bay that can be found close to Pefkohori. The sand at this beach resembles gravel and the water is clear and perfect for families with children as its depth is gradual. The location of the beach protects it from waves and winds. There is also a forest nearby and natural shade at the beach. The right side of Golden Beach provides a nice view of the sea. There are organized areas of the beach as well as clear space if you bring your own supplies. This is not a crowded beach, so it’s perfect if you’re looking for an afternoon of relaxation with family or friends.
