Agistri is a beautiful, nature-filled Greek island that any lover of the outdoors is going to thrive in. The island is home to lovely coves, beaches, hiking trails, vegetation, and wildflowers. Go Kayaking

The island of Agistri is one of the most amazing places to go kayaking. Kayaking on the beautiful water surrounding the island will give you the opportunity to admire the beautiful beaches, rocky formations, and other landscape from an entirely different perspective. You will find a kayak center at Skala Beach.

Go For a Walk

In Agistri you will find a number of hiking paths and trails for your walking pleasure. Imagine walking through a pine forest or along the shore of a beach. There is an especially gorgeous route to walk that goes from Skala to Metohi to Megalohori. This is the perfect route for a romantic sunset walk.

If you enjoy going for bike rides, this is an activity you will get a lot pleasure out of biking around the island of Agistri. What better way to explore the island at your own pace, but also covering more territory than you otherwise might. Bicycling gives you a chance to stop where you want, whether it be for lunch or a scenic spot to snap photographs.

Horseback riding, especially along the seashore, is a unique and fun activity that you can’t do just anywhere. But it’s something you can do on Agistri Island. You can take riding lessons if you’ve never been horseback riding before or you want a refresher. This is a perfect romantic date if you’re travelling to the island with your loved one. Sail around the Island

Like kayaking, sailing is a wonderful way to experience the island of Agistri. You get to be out on the water, enjoying the breeze, the spray of the cool water, and the view of the island like you just can’t see when you’re on shore. Sailing around the islets of Metopi, Dorousa, and Spalathronisi as they have wonderful beaches to see. You can anchor and explore on foot. Dorousa is the most protected from winds, so it might be your best option. There is a tavern at Aponisos that allows for two boats to dock at when you’re ready for a meal.

The island of Agistri is a nature-lovers paradise. Whether you enjoy time on the water, time on land, or want to do it all, you’re going to find it in Agistri.

The closest airport to Agistri Island is in Athens. Coming from Athens, you can take the ferry from the port of Piraeus to the island of Agistri. The regular ferry ride takes two hours and transports both passengers and vehicles. Another option is a speedboat (hydrofoil), which takes one hour and only transports people.
