Before you can head to the beach, though, you need to first make your way to the island. Since it is a large island you can fly into the regional airport, or you can also take a ferry.

Why Visit Tsambika Beach

Tsambika is considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches on Rhodes. Golden sand stretches approximately 800 meters along the coastline, meeting the shallow and calm blue sea, making it a wonderful place for adults and children alike to take a dip. The water is comfortably warm, but also refreshing enough to escape the hot sun.

Though Tsambika Beach is a well-known attraction, the large beach leaves plenty of room to relax and spend time by the sea. For those looking for more action, parasailing, canoeing, waterskiing, and other water sports can be organized on the beach, and there are inflatable floating obstacles for kids to enjoy. The clear water also makes the area great to snorkel near the rocky cliffs of the shore. The action continues after the sun goes down, as there are lively bars and parties that happen along the beach.

Taking a hike to the nearby Tsambika Monastery is an intriguing way to experience some of the history of the area, while getting a stunning view of the beach from the rugged cliffs. This monastery dates back to Byzantine times and symbolizes the importance of the Virgin of Tsambika. Women would flock here to pray to encourage fertility.
