Written by in , Comments Off on Recipe for Gyro-Topped Fries

Traditional gyros are made with traditional gyro meat, onions, tomatoes, tzatziki, and feta cheese and stuffed into a piece of Greek style pita bread. The gyro ingredients, however, also taste great when used in other was. In this case, they make an excellent topping for Greek style fries!

Gyro with Fries Recipe Ingredients:

  • 1 Recipe Greek style fries
  • 1 recipe Greek tzatziki
  • 6 slices of gyro meat, cut in strips
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 medium tomatoes, diced
  • Crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 slice pita bread, cut in wedges (optional)

Instructions on How to Prepare Gyro Fries:

Prepare the fries according to the recipe instructions. After letting them drain on the paper towels for a few minutes, transfer them to a serving platter. While the fries are draining, prepare the tzatziki.

Top the fries with the gyro meat, a spoonful of tzatziki, the chopped onion, diced tomatoes, more tzatziki if desired, and the feta cheese.  Serve with the pita bread, if desired.

Note: You can also arrange the gyro ingredients on a plate and add the fries on top if that is your preference.
