Enjoy swimming, sunning, and sipping cocktails under the warm Greek sun. Here are some of the best beach bars you can check out while in Athens.

Balux Seaside

Located on Posidonos Avenue in Glyfada, Balux Seaside Beach Bar is an exotic paradise. You will feel like you’re on an island while sipping cocktails and swimming in the pool. Resembling a hut, Balux Seaside offers Polynesian dishes to enhance your experience. Desserts like the chocolate souffle are also available. Be advised that you do need a reservation and Balux Seaside is only open during the summer.

Bolivar Beach Bar

Bolivar Beach Bar is located just a few kilometers from the center of Athens. This beach bar was constructed using wood and environmental friendly materials as to blend in with the natural surroundings. The area contains a garden and many palm trees. In addition to the cocktails offered, Bolivar also serves Greek and international cuisine. There is a water park at Bolivar, which is suitable for both children and adults alike. Every week there are different music events to take in. If you’re looking for a beach bar that will keep you occupied all day, this is the one.

Holy Spirit Cocktail Beach Bar

Located in Glyfada at Varkiza beach. Holy Spirit is the perfect beach bar to relax and enjoy cocktails at the full bar. The area has 200 sets of sun beds and there’s live music and DJ parties as well. Enjoy a meal as early as breakfast or come later in the day. There is a buffet as well as private dining. Holy Spirit has received the Certificate of Excellence. The beach bar is bright, colorful, and clean. There is free off-street parking and free wi-fi available.

Stelios Beach Bar

On Zouberi beach in Nea Makri, just 30 miles from Athens, you’ll find the Stelios Beach Bar. If you’re an avid swimmer, this is the place to go. There are many sun beds with umbrellas available free of charge. If you enjoy music, you will enjoy stopping by during the evening for a drink and tunes. Next door to the beach bar you’ll find Zouberi Taverna, which serves wonderful Greek fish dishes.

Rubirosa Beach Bar

Rubirosa is one of the newer beach bars to grace the Athens area. Located in Alimosa, you’ll find cocktails, beer, wine , coffee, good food, friendly staff, and a beautiful view at Rubirosa. Sunset is a great time to visit this beach bar and enjoy a drink or two. Some of the most popular parties take place at this beach bar. Valet parking is available as well as free wi-fi. Rubirosa accepts credit cards and digital payments.
