Lichnos Beach is located 4 km south of Parga, Greece. The beach is sandy with some large pebbles mixed in and deep blue water that is clean and ideal with cooling off and swimming. The deep water allows for water sports including diving, scuba diving, and snorkeling to name a few. Surrounding the beach are olive trees that add to the ambiance of the area.

Around the beach you will find taverns and cafes to quench your thirst and treat yourself to a delicious meal. There are also accommodations in the area and an organized campsite if you’re looking to stay for an extended visit.

Lichnos Beach is ideal for an afternoon of lounging under the sun and swimming in the refreshing water. If you’re up for some adventure, be sure to take in some of the water sports available. If you want to explore what lies beneath the water, you will enjoy snorkeling or scuba diving. If you prefer to stay above water, jet-skiing and surfing are also available. You can even rent a paddle boat, also known as a pedalo, and explore the area in a fun way that appeals to both adults and children.

When in the area spending time at Lichnos Beach, you can make a detour to the Cave of Aphrodite, which is just 5 minutes away. The cave can be accessed by paddle boat or boat. According to mythology, Aphrodite the goddess of love and beauty bathed in the sea cave. It is also said that Aphrodite met Adonis at that very spot for the first time.

Getting to Lichnos Beach

Getting to Parga, Greece can be done by bus or by car. KTEL buses travel to Parga from many areas of the Greek mainland. If you rent a car, you can get to Parga from Athens via the National Greek Road Athens – Corinth. Once you get to the Corinth Canal, you can follow the route leading to Patra and then along the National Greek Roads Olimpia and Ionia. From Athens to Parga is about 433 km. There is no airport in Parga. The closest airports are Aktion National Airport in Preveza, 65 km from Parga, and the Ioannina National Airport, 103 km from Parga.
