Greece is a top holiday destinations for couples throughout the world. They flock here in order to capture some of the magic that the country has to offer. While here, they enjoy some of the best beaches in the world, great nightlife, delicious food, and plenty of other experiences couples of all ages can enjoy. While all islands in Greece are great, some standout more than others.

Here’s a look at some of the best islands Greece has to offer that are best suited for romance:

Santorini

Santorini is an especially popular destinations for couples. Not only is it a great destination for romance, but there are a lot of weddings here and it is also a great destination for honeymoons. Mykonos

This island is also known for its air of romance. There are some wonderful sunsets here, as well. Besides that, Mykonos island is also known for its great nightlife and beaches. This is a great place for couples that love to lounge together by the water, enjoy great sunsets, and experience a party atmosphere.

Hydra

Hydra island is especially suited for couples that are looking for something off the beaten track. Because vehicles aren’t allowed here, the island tends to be a little quieter. However, you can enjoy all the great things that a typical Greek island has to offer, such as plenty of beaches and a delicious cuisine.

Crete

Crete is the largest island in Greece, which means there is something here for everyone. There are beaches, a thriving nightlife, shopping, and a delicious cuisine that is unique to the island. There are also a lot of resorts here so this is also a great island for couples who want to relax and spend most of their time at a resort.

You can also see the sites, such as the famous archaeological site at Knossos Palace and the Samaria Gorge, the longest gorge in Europe. In fact, if you love the outdoors, Crete is an excellent destination for hiking and other outdoor sports.

Milos

Milos is a charming little island that is a bit off the beaten track. This is the perfect place for couples who are looking for a simple destination to relax and unwind. There are some great beaches here, delicious food, and some popular attractions, such as the popular Catacombs of Milos, to visit while here. This is the fabled island that is supposed to be where the goddess Aphrodite was born.

Rhodes

Rhodes is a unique island that is also a great destination for couples. The island is unique and there are plenty of sites here that will satisfy history buffs. Since this was the seat of the Knights of Saint John, the island has a unique Medieval presence. There are also some wonderful beaches here.

Corfu

This island is one of the most popular in all of Greece to visit. Corfu features plenty of interesting sites for people to see. There is also an ample nightlife, some wonderful beaches, and a cuisine that you will want to experience. There are also some great resorts here that also attract couples from all over the world.

Couples really can’t go wrong in the romance department when they choose one of these islands for their holiday to Greece. These are even great places to celebrate a honeymoon, wedding, anniversary, or other romantic occasion!
