They are both around 3 kilometers from Argostoli, and since the two beaches are near each other, you can access both on the same day. If you don’t mind walking 3 kilometers each way, you can certainly walk. However, you can also take a taxi or ride public transportation to these beaches. If you know that you want to spend a lot of your time at the beach, you also may want to consider renting your own car. There are also services, amenities, and even tavernas in the area of these beaches.
Xi Beach is one of the most unique beaches in the Argostoli area since it has red sand. The beach is gorgeous and there are also some services nearby. Myrtos Beach is known for being one of the best places on the island for swimming. In fact, those who love this beach say that it is the best beach they’ve encountered in all of Greece! The waters are calm and warm whether you prefer swimming or lounging in the sun on a chair, this beach will become one of your favorites, as well. Don’t miss the rocks on this beach, either. They’re unique because they are completely white.
