Getting to Kapari Beach

To get to the beach you must walk down a slightly steep dirt and rock path.

About Kapari Beach

Kapari Beach is a secluded little paradise on the island. It’s a definite change of pace from other beaches on the island, which are busy with locals and tourists enjoying a more party-like atmosphere. At Kapari Beach, you’ll find peace and quiet even though more people have come to learn about the quaint little spot. The area around Kapari Beach remains unaffected by mass tourism.

The beach is located behind the church of Agios Ioannis. Kapari is an unorganized beach and there aren’t any taverns or restaurants close by (you’ll have to go to Agios Ioannis if you want to eat in some place). You’ll want to bring your own food and water if you want to picnic at the beach. Kapari Beach overlooks Delos, which is another island in the Cyclades group of islands. Delos is an important historical, religious, and archaeological site. Kapari Beach is nudist friendly, so it may not be ideal for your entire family.

What to Do at Kapari Beach

Thanks to its secluded location and spectacular views, Kapari Beach is the perfect spot for a romantic date. Sunsets at the beach are especially beautiful. The sand at Kapari Beach is clean and the waters clear and ideal for swimming. If you’re up for a little exploration, there are other beaches within walking and driving distance that you can check out. A couple of these beaches include Agios Ioannis Beach and Ornos Beach.

If you’re the adventurous type, you can even rent ATVs to get you from beach to beach. You can also walk up to the church of Agios Ioannis. The little church is picturesque and worth the walk to see up close. If you want to spend some time on the water, there are places nearby where you can book a sailing, yachting, or kayaking trips. Seeing the island and beach from a different perspective is a unique treat. You can even go on a tour of Delos Island. The beach and surrounding area is perfect for taking photographs.
