Tourists can also choose to spend the day at Katsouni Beach by renting a sun lounger or umbrella and snorkeling equipment (rental shops can be found near the pier). Visitors can also sit on the white sand, take photos of the mountains behind them, swim in the crystal clear waters, and people-watch. There are no lifeguards present here, so it’s up to the tourists to make sure everyone is having fun safely.

Getting to Katsouni Beach

Katsouni Beach in Anafi is found very close to the fishing village of Kastro. Visitors can walk along the beach from the pier to Katsouni, which should take about 35 minutes if they walk slowly and stop to take pictures of anything interesting. Since there are no carts or cars on this road, it is safe for visitors to walk.

It is also possible to rent donkeys, small horses that can carry people or their belongings along the beach. Visitors should make sure they wear comfortable clothes and shoes for this hike and pack water with them in case it gets hot. There are also boats that can drop tourists off at Katsouni Beach for around 3-4 Euros per person.

Katsouni Beach in Anafi, Greece, is an excellent and a peaceful place for families as it’s safe for children to swim and there are no loud bars next door.
