Quick Greek Style Baked Nachos Recipe

Written by in , Comments Off on Quick Greek Style Baked Nachos Recipe

Although we usually think of nachos as being Mexican or even American in origin, you could easily give this simple snack a Greek flair using traditional ingredients! Instead of typical nacho ingredients, like salsa and guacamole, we are using traditional Greek cheeses, Greek olives, tzatziki, and other Greek flavors. Feel free to leave out the gyro meat to keep it vegetarian.

Quick Greek Style Baked Nachos Recipe Ingredients:

  • 1, 11 or 12 ounce bag tortilla chips
  • 1/3 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/3 cup chopped bell peppers
  • 1/3 cup chopped onions
  • 3/4 cup shredded gyro meat
  • 1/2 cup chopped Kalamata olives
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup tzatziki
  • 3/4 cup shredded Kasseri cheese or mozzarella cheese

How to Make Quick Greek Style Baked Nachos:

Preheat the oven to 350 Degrees Fahrenheit. Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

Arrange the tortilla chips in the baking dish. Top with tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, gyro meat (if using), olives, feta cheese, tzatziki, and Kasseri or mozzarella cheese.

Place the baking dish in the center of the oven. Bake until the Kasseri cheese has melted and the rest of the ingredients are heated through. This should take 20-25 minutes.
