Located on the southern tip of the island of Santorini, Agios Georgios Beach is the continuation of a long beach that begins from Perissa. The beach is located in Perivolos Village. The seaside village of Perivolos is quite popular as it is home to a lively beach resort. The village is home to restaurants, cafés, and bars. Night and day, the village of Perivolos is full of life.

What makes Agios Georgios Beach so unique is that it features black sand. It is one of the most famous black sand beaches on the island. Santorini Island.

What to Do at Agios Georgios Beach in Santorini

Located 3.5 km from Perissa, Agios Georgios provides for activities both on the beach and off. The beach offers sun beds and umbrellas for rent. Watersports including windsurfing, jet skiing, banana boats, and paddle boats are available at Agios Georgios Beach. This beach is well-known, but you might be pleased to know it doesn’t become crowded, so it’s the perfect spot to visit if you want relaxation combined with adventure.

When you want a meal or a drink, you will find many taverns and restaurants along the waterfront. Whatever you are in the mood to indulge in, you’ll find it. There are also bars in the area if you’re looking to relax and meet new people.

Getting to Agios Georgios Beach

To get to Santorini, Greece you can take either a plane or boat. A flight from Athens to Santorini’s international airport takes about 45 minutes. At the airport, you can hire a local driver to take you to where you want to go on the island of Santorini. You can take a boat from Piraeus or Rafina, but this is a longer trip lasting from four to six hours. Santorini is also connected to the islands of Sikinos, Ios, Anafi, and others.
